    Each year, teachers from Seattle's ten international schools are invited to come together with teachers from throughout Seattle Public Schools and beyond to share ideas, discover resources, and learn new strategies for preparing global citizens.

    • Intro to Dual Language/Immersion
    • Utilizing Interns and IAs in the DLI Classroom
    • Intro to using world languages in a gen ed classroom
    • Teaching for Biliteracy
    • Communicating research on DLI to families
    • Task Force and Program Review info session
    • Creating school-wide global projects
    • Organic brainstorm sessions (unconference style) with like grades/subjects
    • Virtual Exchanges
    • International Education through the Arts
    • Global Competence Certificate (for students)


    For Teachers New to Seattle's International Schools

    Each fall teachers new to SPS International Schools are invited to attend a special orientation workshop on international education presented by the International Schools Leadership Team (ISLT) -- teacher leaders from the International Schools.
