    Dear North Beach Families:

The 2020-21 school year has started out unlike any other students, staff or families have experienced. Supplies, laptops, and iPads have been distributed for students to use at home so our teachers can provide instruction in a remote setting. While we wait for the day we are able to gather together again at school, we the staff at North Beach want our families to know what hasn’t changed. We are committed to providing the best experience we can for all our students. We know nothing can replace being in-person with our dedicated teachers and staff. But we believe the improved implementation of remote learning over last year will provide a high quality experience that will support both the social-emotional needs as well as academic growth for our students.

Now, more than ever, the link between school and home is so crucial for the success of our students. We are committed to work in partnership with our families in order to support the needs of all students. The remote learning guidebook provides an overview of information that will help you support your student while they are learning in a remote setting. In it you will find information about school operations and attendance, an overview of the format of remote learning, a sample classroom schedule, instructions for accessing our learning platforms and online resources, and information about resources you can access while we are in a remote setting.

Thank you for your support as we enter the uncharted territory of beginning a school year with 100% online instruction. We look forward to seeing our students in person with anticipation and hope this will happen soon.

    In partnership,

    Kristine McLane
