Hale community meetingA draft of proposed boundary changes was shared with the community in September 2013, through a series of community meetings throughout the district and online.

We received and reviewed input on the initial draft prior to development of the proposal submitted on Oct. 16, 2013, from:

After the proposal was posted on Oct. 11, 2013, for introduction at the Oct. 16, 2013, Board meeting, we received and reviewed input from an additional 1,022 emails, 3,984 survey responses, and 122 post cards.

When the revised proposal was posted for introduction at the Nov. 6, 2013, Board meeting, an additional 1,199 comments were received through an online survey, email and other direct input.

After the Nov. 6, 2013, Board meeting, a Board work session was scheduled and held on Nov. 13, 2013. Additional community input was submitted after that work session.

All of the feedback received was considered in developing the final version submitted to the Board for vote on Nov. 20, 2013. In addition, many families contacted school board directors advocating for changes. There were several amendments introduced by the directors at the meeting, which changed some of the boundaries in the proposal as presented.
